András Csáki was born in 1981 in Budapest (Hungary). Study He started playing the guitar at the age of 11 as a pupil of László Kozma. Since 1996 he was a student of Sándor Szilvágyi in Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, and after graduation he carried on his studies with Ede Roth and Balázs Arnóth in the College of Music, in Győr. In 2002 he was admitted to the guitar faculty of Ferenc Liszt University of Music, where he has been instructed by József Eötvös. He graduated in 2007, he received a diploma with honour as a master of music in performance guitar and teaching. From September he is a full-time DLA student at the Academy of Music in Budapest. In 2008 he received Fischer Annie scholarship for performing arts in music.
Mastercourses
Since his juvenile he has been attending both inland and foreign master courses. Among others he has participated in the courses of Leo Brower, Remi Boucher, Abel Carlevaro, Costas Cotsiolis, Aniello Desiderio, Alirio Diaz, Zoran Dukic, Tilmann Hoppstock, Wolfgang Lendle, Carlo Marchione, Pablo Marquez, Thomas Müller-Pehring, Martin Myslivecek, Pavel Steidl, Barna Kovacs, Peter Katona (Katona Twins) and Tamás Vásáry. Concerts Since 1996 he has played an active role in national and international concert life. He has had successful recitals in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Chile, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Poland, Germany, Rumania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia and the United States. Besides, he also had the opportunity to perform concertinos with several symphony orchestras. Numerous national and international radio and TV channels have recorded him. International Guitar Competition (Split, Croatia): "Most perspektive guitarist of all competition" Chamber music Besides his soloist ambitions he attaches a great importance to chamber music. He has been a member of Excanto Ensemble since 1998, which consort has a great repertoire of renaissance and baroque tune. The first CD of the consort was published in. They have had several successful performances together in Hungary and abroad as well. Teaching, Guitar courses Besides giving concerts he started teaching from 2005. He held master courses in France, in Griece and in the United States. Since September 2005 he has been giving guitar lessons at Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in Budapest.
